During this years Volunteers’ Week we would like to thank our amazing community of Pump House Volunteers. The Pump House would not be able to run without its passionate, dedicated volunteers who are involved in every aspect of our mission to provide a space to create, perform and entertain.

With the current global Covid-19 situation all venue based and outside arts and culture is temporary closed down. This is a challenging time for culture but a minor price to pay for safety and health. There is a lot of creativity and culture to take part in and enjoy online, to help support everyone’s mental health of which art is a key component. We are encouraging all of our current and potential volunteers to focus their volunteer efforts during this current situation on helping those in our community who are vulnerable or are in need. Our partner Watford & Three Rivers Trust is co-coordinating local volunteer and support during this time so please do go to their website for more information – w3rt.org #TeamHerts #WatfordTogether
Watford’s organisations, venues and events have grouped together to create Watford Cultural Volunteers Group. This group recognises that volunteers provide an invaluable contribution to promote a better understanding and appreciation of Watford’s cultural offering and enhance the quality of life for local people and visitors to Watford.
The aim of the group is to help communicate volunteering opportunities, support and recognise cultural volunteers in Watford.
Opportunities to volunteer include a wide range of roles at events such as Imagine Watford festival, Pump House events, Watford Fringe Festival, Watford Film Festival, Watford Colosseum show ushering, Watford BIG events and much more. See below for more information.
